Photograph Required When Registering Players

Capital Football is introducing a new mandatory requirement this year that a digital photo must be uploaded when registering players through Play Football. If you have any issues regarding this please contact the relevant Belwest Registrar

Under 10 Age Specific Information

Belwest starts grading players and teams from the Under 10 age group. The transition from Under 9’s to Under 10’s can be difficult, as teams and players from Under 9’s, who have sometimes played together since peewees, are often split as a result of the grading. The grading process is vital to ensure players and teams are placed in the most appropriate playing level. Whilst grading players into new teams, previous teams and friendship requests are taken into account, but the key factor utilised will be based on the players ability.

If a player wishes to be placed in a team solely on friendship requests, this can be requested, but may result in the player playing in a lower level than their ability. If a player wishes friendships groups to be the primary preference please let the Registrar know prior to the grading days.

Dates of the grading sessions can be found above. All players must be registered thru www.playfootball.com.au to attend these sessions.

Member Protection–Working with Vulnerable People ACT

It is mandatory under the Working with Vulnerable People ACT for all committee members, volunteers, coaches and managers. You need to apply for the working with vulnerable people card if not already done so. Please see information or contact a committee member for further information.

Merchandise and Boot Pool

All Club merchandise and the preloved Boot Pool will be available for purchases on information day and all other dates and times mentioned in the “Key Dates” when activities are at Latham. Once the season starts, the shop will be opened from 9:00 am–12:30 pm Saturday morning only.

First Aid Certificate–New or Refresher

First Aid is a Duty of Care to Belwest and all teams, juniors and seniors will be required to have at least 1 person per team qualified with a First Aid certificate. Belwest will only offer the course depending upon numbers. Please complete the section when registering if you are interested thru www.playfootball.com.au. The date is Wednesday, 16th May, 5:30 pm–8:00 pm at the Ginninderra Labor Club, Charnwood in the Dunlop room. This is a night course with a workbook finalised online prior to the course and is at no cost to participants.

Canteen and BBQ

Belwest maintains a roster covering the morning and afternoon shifts for the canteen and BBQ in 2018. Each junior and senior team will be required to do at least one roster shift for the season.

Senior Men and Womens Teams

Men’s training will commence 30 Jan, Tuesday and Thursdays at Latham Ovals 6:30 pm
Women’s training will commence 30 Jan, Tuesday and Thursdays at Scullin Ovals 6:30 pm

Permanent training grounds for the Seniors will be notified after the grounds are available in April.

You will need to register by 16 Feb 2018 to ensure that the correct team nominations are completed in time for the season start. Do not delay, please contact Mens League Coordinator–Dan Egan–mens@belwestsoccer.com or Women's League Coordinator–Kerrie Murray–kerrie.murray@defence.gov.au

Nominations for teams opened Monday 21st January and close 5pm, Friday 16th February, all senior players need to have their registrations processed by Thursday 15th February, 2018 so Belwest can nominate teams to Capital Football by 16th February 2018.

All fees are required to be paid by Friday 30th March 2018. Players are not activated on Play Football until fees paid and are unable to take the field.  If payment arrangements are required, Belwest requires a minimum of $160/180 to start the process depending on your package. You need to make contact with rego@belwestsoccer.com to request a payment package as soon as you register.

Referees

Why not earn some extra money! We are looking to increase the number of junior referees at Belwest. Referees have an important role in the game of football. Anyone interested in becoming referees please contact the Referees Coordinator, referees@belwestsoccer.com. Please visit www.capitalfootball.com.au/referee for upcoming dates.
